Accidents and Personal Injury
State of Wisconsin
As a first-generation attorney who was personally involved in a traumatic car accident, Attorney Samantha Toman knows first-hand how frustrating navigating life after an injury can be, as well as how complicated and intimidating dealing with an insurance company can feel. Accordingly, she seeks to be both a fierce legal advocate and an ally who will stand by her client’s side every step of the way by bringing a unique blend of legal knowledge and genuine compassion to every case. She knows that behind each injury claim is a person whose life has been profoundly impacted.
Attorney Toman has spent her entire professional career at Gruber Law Offices representing people wrongfully injured. She was originally hired as a Law Clerk, where much of her work focused on cases in litigation and worked at Gruber Law Offices throughout law school before returning to the team as an Attorney.
Before law school, Attorney Toman graduated cum laude from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a bachelor’s degree in history and won the Outstanding Pre-Law Student award after nominations by faculty. While in college, Attorney Toman worked as a research assistant, volunteered as a domestic violence victims advocate, and interned at a local personal injury law firm. These experiences helped form her interest in helping people negatively affected by the actions or inactions of others.
Attorney Toman attended Marquette University Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude and earned five CALI Awards for achieving the highest grade in her class, most notably in Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research, and Advanced Brief Writing. Outside of the classroom, Attorney Toman was a member of the Marquette Law Review and distinguished herself not only through academic achievements but also through a dedication to helping others; she helped provide free legal services to the community, earning her a spot in the Pro Bono Honor Society, and served as an Academic Success Program Leader, where she helped other students better understand tort law, the area of law most implicated in personal injury cases.
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Attorney Toman spent much of her childhood on her grandparents’ property in rural Wisconsin and today is proud to call the city of Milwaukee her home. When not working, Attorney Toman loves exploring Milwaukee, gardening, crafts, and spending time with her friends, family, and two cats.
